Monday, August 11: Fringe announces preliminary figures (PDF)
Minnesota Fringe announced preliminary attendance figures for its 2008 festival. In all, 40,814 tickets were issued during the 11-day performing arts festival, an 8 percent increase over last year. Revenue increased over $36,000.

Monday, August 4: Fringe Festival announces opening numbers (PDF)
Minnesota Fringe announced attendance numbers for its opening weekend today. For the first four days of the festival—Thurs., July 31 through Sun., Aug. 3—14,215 tickets were issued, an increase of over 10 percent from last year's Fringe.

Thursday, July 31: WWII Red Cross worker to meet artists adapting her letters for the stage (PDF)
A World War II-era Red Cross worker is seeing her diaries and letters come to life at the 2008 Minnesota Fringe Festival. “My War: From Bismarck to Britain and Back,” presented by Klatch Productions, is an adaptation of Ruth Christianson Register Coleman’s letters home and her mother’s diaries kept from 1943 through 1945.

Monday, July 28: Minnesota Fringe, Midwest's biggest performing arts fest, starts Thursday (PDF)
Over 150 shows take to the stage at the fifteenth annual Minnesota Fringe Festival starting on Thurs., July 31. The Midwest's largest performing arts festival runs through Sun., Aug. 10 at 18 venues around Minneapolis.
