Great New Script/Marvelous Cast

...but get a new name for the show.
I have been raving about this show for a week. I really loved to political perspective and don't thank anyone from conservative to liberal, fascist to anarchist could find anything to complain about because Phil as the main character complains clearly about everything on our behalf.
The only problem is that "Libertarian Rage" is a misleading title and will keep people out of the seats.
Something catchier and more inclusive of all political stripes would more accurately reflect this excellent show's theme and help fill the seats.

I went to this show fully expecting to dislike it but wanting to give it a try. I was happily surprised. I thought it was funny and intriguing.

Good satire on what's wrong in this country .... but you have to pay attention!
Politicians as zombies ... what could be more real! PC is completely out the door! Fake, feel-good movements don't fare well. Nor does the media.
Having the characters in their underwear didn't work for me but you have to do something to bring the hoi-polloi in.
Songs were good.

This is one of those cases of otherwise talented actors having a terrible script to work with. This was completely self-indulgent on the part of writer phillip andrew bennett low, who himself performed a number of screaming, ranty, ideological screeds throughout the show. He said nothing new or different or thoughtful or revolutionary. Disregarding whether or not I agree with any of the points he was trying to make, his presentation of them sucked. The gratuitous use of racial and anti-gay epithets added nothing to the show. Knowing who else was in the cast (Michael Shaeffer, Courtney McLean) I expected more. The bright spot was the songs performed by Michael Shaeffer and Neil Fennell.
Why the underwear?

The first song alone earns this show a two kitty review over a one. Otherwise, the show's message and point are hard to find among the numerous skits, sketches, and skivvys.
Good ideas, but could use editing

I liked all parts of this production, but some went on a bit long
Spinning Wheels

The typical complaints from indepenent third party politicos in an often witty and occasionally funny package. Over all a pretty negatory show, espousing an ideology that seems to be defined purely by the many things it stands against.
Hits and Misses

First of all, I saw this because I am a quasi-libertarian myself.
Secondly, the songs performed were brilliant! I loved them all ... both of them. The first song alone is worth the price of admission.
Finally, some skits were hit while others were miss. Good points were made, but the humor was lost in either length, absurdity or redundancy.
Some script may also be need, but all-in-all this is an average play.
Excellent!!!

Great and funny script and songs played by a very talented cast.
The Zombie skit alone is worth seeing.
Don't Miss This One!
Worth Seeing

Overall this show is funny, smart, and consistently entertaining, with great performances. Loved the first song and all sketches besides the first. The song about pot and bear traps might have been trying a bit too hard to, well, I don't know what it was trying to do. And the first sketch (after the first song), while good, seemed a little bloated and could have been cut down - and should have, as the show ran over its 60-minute time limit, and I hate when shows do that. Anyway, good overall, and worth seeing.
A Show With Potential

My father and I went into this show with high hopes. This would be a show that would inform us, that would give us a new point of view of the world. All though we did leave with a new point of view then the one we had when we entered. The way we were brought there left little to be desired.
Rudeness. Not understanding that we live in a day where words are more then words.
The point of this monologue was lost on my father and me.
A Libertarian Rage has potential but I think to those who are uneducated with the Libertarian point - of â view, the point is lost on us.
Thanks for putting up that anon. letter

I enjoyed this show in its first iteration - definitely recommended freewheeling, foul-mouthed fun for something other than the whole family.
Again, it was fine a couple of years ago - but it's really neat to see everything pop even more with a very strong cast.
This show's got legs - excellent, sly commentary, guns 'n anger (and ZOMBIES)...and political humor from the losing side of the silenced majority.
very funny

good political satire, I love the first song. Some of other skits and songs not quite as funny, but still good.
Good show!

Eclectic material; hard to find a common thread but well written and thought provoking. The Initiative Five song a bit obscure but the rest connected nicely.
So shoot me, I liked this show a lot

Sketch comedy, as an earlier reviewer pointed out, is always a risky business with an inherent hit-or-miss quality. But I loved watching this talented cast at the top of their game. The material is well-paced, clever and over-the-top. If you wonder if you might be offended: you will be. If that doesn't deter you: work a slot in for this worthwhile hour of an endangered genre.
Courageous execution

Irreverent, well -performed and clever. Act one was the strongest but the entire show held up. The opening number, âFuck Noâ sets the stage for the writerâs rejection of the status quo and illuminates his lack of reverence of institutions and political correctness. The Zombie Scene was spot on. Philipâs rants are great. His methodology isnât mainstream, but, oh so refreshing . There is nothing like exposing hypocrisy and questioning the status quo to make people cry foul. If everyone learned to question and think critically like Phillip, there would be fewer problems in this world.
Actually, I give it a six.

Witty, angry, funny, thought-provoking, irreverent, offensive, & sentimental. Politics plus art plus art plus politics equals a winning script and a winning show.
Sharp Shooter / Cheap Shots

Some sketches hit the mark and others just seemed offensive -- and I am not easily offended. Since I think that is part of the intent of the show, they succeed.
