What Fun!

Brian and Dan call this Pizpor. That's probably a bad idea for a name. It's anything but poor. There's so much to love about this show: bad puns, self-effacing humor, lots of interaction with the audience, a polished deliver, magic, and a balloon animal! They really deserved a much bigger audience.
P.S. Anna says, "Thank you for the balloon dog!"

There was so much audience play. The guys walked around and chatted before the show, and really kept the audience going through the end. Don't be late to this show!

Pizpor is a blast. If you're looking to escape from your serious life for a little while, this is the place. Brian Alexander's magic is great and the way he and Dan-the-Orchestra-man make fun of Alexander's magic is even better. His humor and the fun he has with the audience is what makes the show. Plus the next time you see a serious magic show, you'll laugh to yourself.

This is the first time i've been to the fringe festival. I saw the Pizpor show and loved it. He is so funny and the magic was great.

Are you looking for a great show? Then you're in the wrong place 'cause this one is Pizpor. Actually, that's not true, this show is wonderful! Pizpor's delightful and self-effacing banter belies the true skill behind his magic act. You'll see some classics like the rope trick and the cup and balls, plus a twist on the old "saw a person in half" trick (and this version is much funnier). We were all rolling in the aisles at this show, and the audience though small was incredibly responsive. Like myself they were all roped in from the first moment. Pizpor knows how to show the audience a good time and his sparkling performance deserves far larger audiences than it received on Sunday afternoon.

No, this show is not related to Chinese delicacies, but it does serve up some tasty bites that satisfy just about every palate. Dum jokes and funtastic magic--up close and amazing. Gotta love it!

It was like sitting in the garage with the neighbors, having a few beers, talking stupid, and laughing. Only Brian Alexander did most of the stupid talking. The show was great fun and will have even bigger crowds when the word gets out.

What fun. There is no way to piegon hole this hidden gem. It is absolutely the most unique premise for an improvisational comedy show that I've ever seen. Pizpor, and his side-kick Dan are street performers (whether they are just playing that part or if they actually are is impossible to distinguish. If they're not, they should be - they'd make a bucket of money with every show) from Scan-da-hovia (or where ever)that goat you along with their jokes, tricks and audience by-play. Good, simple, fun, crisp, and very unique. The more the audience interacts, the better the show gets. I'm giving it 5 kitties for complete orginality and being like nothing else the Fringe has ever had! If your really want to go outside the box, this is a must see.

A good choice

We chose this show because we were over at the Gremlin anyway and didn't see much point in relocating and fighting for parking space somewhere else. It was a good choice. If you are also in that situation, definitly see this show. Brian is a seasoned performer who is enjoyable to watch. There are jokes, the show is audience interactive and Brian is a great magician. Good stuff!

I've seen this show before!! The guy has good jokes, really good magic tricks and is quite humorous. The audience interaction makes it hilarious and quite entertaining. They bill themselves as the "bottom of the fringe" standard. Not even close! Well worth going to.

i had no idea what to expect going into this one so i wasn't disappointed. in fact, i was quite entertained. i'm not sure if it's worth a full-price ticket, but if you've got a punch left on your card or you want to eek one more show out of your Ultra pass, give this one a shot. why not? i don't think there's anything else like it in this [or any other] year's Fringe Festival.
Sleight of hand, slight of audience

This show is a low-key good time. Pizpor's self-effacing promotion may be a bit too convincing for the health of the show. These chaps claim to be setting the standard for Bottom of the Fringe; nah, they're not the bottom. The dreadful puns are great fun! Dan-the-Orchestra is charming as the embarrassed sidekick. Small illusions and classic tricks are the staples in this allegedly unrehearsed show. This show is ideal for the good-natured hecklers of Fringe because these guys can take it, appreciate it, and relish the interaction. Oh, and it's safe for kids too!

I have seen this show before and I never stop laughing. I am very excited that they are in the fringe festival. I saw them at the gremlin theater for their show on aug. 1st and they were wonderful. The timing was great, jokes were (mostly) funny, and they are just so entertaining. It feels good when you can just laugh, and not think about it!

PIZPOR!.
This show was quite funny. His bad jokes lure you in over the course of the show making each magic trick that he does (and he does them very well) stand out as such a success as to cause you to cheer.

Awkward? Yes.
Slight of Hand Magic? Yes.
Clever? Yes.
Wierd? Yes.
Fast paced? No.
Did I laugh? Often.
Oddball? Yes
If he was performing on the street he should have about $35 and lots of quarters in his bucket after every show.
It doesn't hurt that he is so darn cute his quirky self-conscious kind-of-way.
This show is a lot more fun when the audience talks to the performer.
