When a sudden medical emergency upsets his otherwise idyllic life, young writer Daniel Murphy must rely on his family to support him through his troubling time. The bad news for him: his family consists of an over-bearing mother, cynical sister, incompetent agent, and a best friend who's...well, an actor. Add a never ending parade of neurotic medical personnel to the mix, and you have the recipe for a hilarious disaster in emotional support that will leave Daniel wondering what will kill him first: the cure, or the disease?
An original comedy about family, death, and chicken wings

My must see...

I thought this was an exceptionally well written comedy, particularly for this ensemble. I also enjoyed the fact that it didn't try to be more than it could be within the context of the fringe, but there were a few moments that suggested this playwright could shift gears and turn it into a longer piece that had a less episodic structure and more levels.
Nice work. I will definitely be watching for work by these folks after the fringe.
Me like. Go see.

I can't articulate anything more than what the other reviewers have already said but I'll add that DANNY IS GOING TO DIE was one of my favorites.

terrific acting with an entertaining and heartfelt storyline. The energy builds throughout and the timing of the very funny jokes is very good. The entire audience was in hysterics throughout. Highly recommended.

"Danny is Going to Die" is a raucous but ultimately heart-warming production. I enjoyed the narrative structure as a set up to the scenes, but I was hoping for a more significant climax/resolution. Some humor stemmed from easy zingers that amused without substance, but there were also comic moments the actors earned honestly. The end result is a play in which the supporting characters' well-intentioned interference reveals genuine resolve to support a loved one through a trying time.

Very enjoyable production. All the characters were entertaining and it was quite funny. Good for anyone who needs help remembering how to laugh through rough times. Shout out to home girl April Gage!
A fun spin on a serious topic

A funny, lighthearted guided tour through a heavy topic, with an inventive use of transitions. Some really clever exchanges and some outstanding character portrayals -- the deadpan waiter's timing was flawless, and the, erm, "empowered" literary agent was especially memorable.
Amateurish.

Some of the audience laughed, I didn't. I didn't believe the situation, the actors, or the sub-sitcom dialog. Better luck next time.
A bit stereotypical...

This show was okay...the best part was the acting, but the show wasn't written very well. The characters were a bit stereotypical and the humor was 7th grade-ish; cheap genitalia and curse word jokes. However, it was fast paced and full of great performances!

Very funny writing; some very strong comic acting (especially Tim Gage, Kim Hostrawser, and Andy Waldron); appropriately breakneck pacing.
