By sharing his story Brian Shaughnessy has given us a precious gift of insight and inspiration. Brian used the round stage to its full advantage, creating an intimacy and opening hearts and minds to the "what if?" There are universal truths in his show that will stick with me a long time.

Ms Floyd you did not stay to watch the entire show so what is it that you reviewed . It seem apparent that your review was based on what you believed was inappropriate however failing to get facts before your review the person who's shoe was rolled over and who you deemed the photographer is one of Brian Shaughnessy's assistants who is not limping around and is doing quite well actually . So ms Floyd next time stay and watch the show and save your personal feelings at home . Take notes from other reviewers who enjoyed the show and gave it the review it deserves based on the actual 60 minutes of the squeaky wheel live .

after all the others I've seen this year fade from memory. Brian Shaughnessy makes better use of the arena space than I have seen with great moves with his electric chair. His story and his delivery and his attitude are inspired and inspiring and powerful. Self pity not allowed. I went to this show with some hesitation because I did not want the exposure to the painful realities of Brian's life - but I am so grateful that I did. Uplifting to the max.

I came into this show not knowing a thing about it except the title. The moment the show began I thought, "What is this? What have I gotten myself into?" Soon my question was answered by a man who, despite his struggles in life, says he is blessed. His story has its humor, its sad moments, and its reminders that you can never predict your life. Inspirational to say the least. Next time I feel "stuck, stuck, STUCK!" I can just remind myself of Brian's story and look upon my own blessings.

This show reminded me that my mother occasionally asked us kids, "Are you happy?" Most of us have tons of reasons to be happy. Brian Shaughnessy's tale reveals tons of reasons he might not be happy, but you know the minute he rolls onto the Arena stage that he can deal with anything. Humor abounds. Not taking things too seriously, especially when they are life-and-death serious. My only suggestion is, like for any actor, to use movement to enhance the story -- not to move for the sake of moving. The story will take care of itself. And do, audience, stay to the end.

Brian is a wonderful story teller and we are lucky that he shares his story with us. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster. Thanks.

Brian Shaughnessy is an extremely accomplished story teller, and his show chronicles his extraordinary life experiences as a son, sibling, husband, father, theatre director and producer, lawyer, and, not least, a quadriplegic. This show provides excellent insight into the difficulties people with disabilities face in everyday life.

He has a strong story telling style and his life is certainly interesting. Despite his warning this is an uplifting show. His strength is incredible. He gives you insight into the difficulties others face.
You have to see this show.

It was not funny when he swore at the photographer and ran over his foot. I bet that guy is limping around some where for weekds after that.
