i'm old enough to remember marble-mouthed moms (on ed sullivan, perhaps?), so this was pleasantly nostalgic for me. a nice penultimate show.

Less "blue" than expected

Chatty, interactive show was a nice interlude on Saturday. The original Moms Mabley had a varied repertoire in her long career, so it was interesting to see what got selected for this performance. Show ran long on Saturday when the performer didn't fade out the persona. Might be a great 90-minute show outside of Fringe.

Aunt Dicey is charming and funny (and tells some good, dirty jokes). She takes a nice, slow, southern pace to her storytelling. Some might be offended, but grow up, old people like sex, too. And, some dare to talk about it.

Spot-on African American monologue. Aunt Dicey calls 'em as she sees 'em. This show will delight you and pull you in. Go see it.

A lovely performance

A lovely performance which suffered from it being mostly slight sex jokes - not that we didn't laugh, but the actor's performance was strong enough to sustain more serious subject matter.

Thank you for channeling Moms!

It was a great show for me as I am familiar with Moms.
Aunt Dicey is a sweet charcter actor.
