Warnings:
Just so you know, this show has Violence, Adult language, Loud noises/gunshots.

The Carmone's are your typical Italian family - loud, argumentative, and absolutely, positively, in no way associated with the mob. So with a family this tight, one little exposed secret couldn't hurt - right?

The creators say this show is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Promising Actors

I knew a couple of young actors in this piece, so I might have a little bias. I enjoyed it. I was entertained. It's cute. See it if you have time.

Pasta and pugnacity

The Mafia is always good for a laugh. Jake Sullivan has crammed lots of Mafia into his short play, which sporadically translates to a lot of laughs. There are a lot of stories going on here, too many for a short play, and it may be hard to keep track of all the players without a scorecard. As for the acting: half the cast handles their roles well, and the remainder either yells their way through the play or stands in place reciting their lines.
At its heart this play is about two children standing up to an abusive parent, and that can be a difficult field to mine for comedy. Italian stereotypes abound, but again, this is the Mafia we're talking about. Not the best thing in the Fringe, but it won't give you indigestion either.

As an italian I was curious about how interesting a stereotypical italian family could be; thankfully it turned out to be quite charming and delightfully funny. I would also like to mention the acting from each actor was superb and everyone played each character wonderfully. If you like to be entertained and like seeing loads of pasta this would be the show for you! (So really, everyone should go see it. )

This was a play that made me laugh and kept me really entertained. You certainly will see a solid work and feel the enthusiasm of the actors to be part of the festival.
