Jobs
Assistant house manager
Time: July 30 through August 11 with two meetings prior to the festival (late May, mid July), and one training session (mid/late July).
Job duties: Oversee one of the BYOVs (Bring Your Own Venues) during the festival plus other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, cash runs, helping in box office central, filling in as needed for house managers or volunteers. Act as a point person for the BYOV theater company, volunteers and patrons at the venue. Must be comfortable handling cash and making quick decisions.
Reports to the Audience Services Deputy Director.
Compensation: Staff pass to the festival. Academic credit can be arranged if desired. Monetary compensation varies based on experience.
House manager
Time: July 30 through August 11 with two meetings prior to the festival (late May, mid July) and one training session (mid/late July).
Job duties: Partnered with one other House Manager, oversees two regular Fringe venues during the festival. Act as a point person for the venues' theater companies, volunteers, technicians and patrons. Must be comfortable handling cash and making quick decisions.
Reports to the Audience Services Deputy Director.
Compensation: Staff pass to the festival. Academic credit can be arranged if desired. Monetary compensation varies based on experience.
Internships
Volunteer services intern
Time: June 1 through August 11. Hours per week are small but increase to full-time closer to the festival.
Job duties: Assist the Audience and Volunteer Services Director and Volunteer Services Deputy Director with recruitment, scheduling and oversight of volunteers. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Access databases and have excellent people skills.
Reports to Audience and Volunteer Services Director.
Compensation: Staff pass to the festival. Academic credit can be arranged if desired. Monetary compensation varies based on experience.
Audience services intern
Time: June 15 through August 11. Hours per week are small but increase to full-time closer to the festival.
Job duties: Assist the Audience and Volunteer Services Director and Audience Services Deputy Director. During the festival, will transition into a House Manager, Assistant House Manager or Box Office Central Manager.
Reports to Audience and Volunteer Services Director.
Compensation: Staff pass to the festival. Academic credit can be arranged if desired. Monetary compensation varies based on experience.
Marketing intern
Time: June 1 through August 11. Weekly hours flexible.
Job duties: Job duties include, but aren't limited to, compiling and archiving print and Web articles about the festival, acting as a liaison to the Minnesota blogosphere, updating the Fringe Web site (and its MySpace and Facebook pages), researching ad sales and coordinating print production of Fringe collateral.
Reports to Communications Director.
Compensation: Staff pass to the festival. Academic credit can be arranged if desired.
